Good way to see the country without driving. Convenient as well. Guide David was nice and v helpful especially to my elderly mum. We took the cable car at Mt Soerak to enjoy the view while others hike. The naksansa temple is tough for elderly mum. Luckily there is a coffee house for her to rest.

Highly recommend it!
Suzana_K, Nov 2025
I really enjoyed this tour. I timed it well to get some nice autumn foliage photos. We stayed a good amount of time at each location. The park was beautiful. I was able to hike to the observatory and get some exercise in, as well as beautiful views. I appreciated our guide Chuck who was very helpful. He also provided us with different choices of activities at the park, so we didn't all have to do things as a big group.
The destination is worth it but the journey should be better.
DavidGlasson, Nov 2025
The wilderness experience was great and the Autumn colours beautiful. The bus trip was 3 hours each way. Unfortunately the ventilation was poor. The bus windows quickly fogged up and the air was stuffy. I asked for the aircon to be switched on, but it was not really adequate and cold! Same problem on the return journey. Be aware.
Wonderful trip with our wonderful detailed tour guide Stella

This tour was fantastic. Many of the reviews stated that it was just a bus trip to these sites and back, but this didn’t seem to be true for our trip at all. Our tour involved so much more than just a bus ride! We had a wonderful tour guide (Stella/Mijeong) who walked us around and provided us in depth information at every place we went to at Naksansa and even when we got to Mt Seorak (before guests had free time to either hike or go up the cable car) Stella gave us in depth information about the area. She was warm and friendly, and the tour was well organised. Stella made the day a wonderful experience for us all

The guide was good and friendly. The itinerary changed, but we were not notified. Naksan was removed
Would have been perfect if it was not raining!
Marites_P, Oct 2025
Our experience would have great if it was not raining that day. It was raining the whole time we were there and so we were not able to see or do much except see the Buddha and the Biseondae Rock. One great thing that came out of the tour was that we meet some wonderful people during the trip.
Sore feet and happy mind

The park itself is a nice destination and worth the 2,5 hour drive there. You can't see all the park has to offer in the time you are there, but still it was worth it.
Mt Seorak great, Nakasanna temple, meh
Dan_A, Sep 2025
Mt Seorak is very picturesque and you will do a lot of.hiking. Naksana Temple is average and not really worth seeing. If you have mobility issues I wouldn't recommend this trip, as you'll be hiking up tracks and it's quite strenuous. There is also no walking AIDS available to reach the viewing points.
Wonderful countryside.

Breath taking sights!

All day activity and be sure to bring comfortable shoes for uneven terrain. Guide was engaging and answered any questions we had during the tour. You will not be able to see everything at the National Park so you will have to pick your most wanted view/activity.
Great views!

Great tour! Gina was a great tour guide and an impressive hiker. This tour is far from Seoul but since we had a lot of extra time in the city, it was worth it to see the east coast of Korea and the mountains. There are a few options of hikes when you get there - everything from an accessible trail to a waterfall to a cable car to a challenging 3.5 hour hike. We did the second hardest hike and it was very steep but worth it! We still had time to grab food at the bottom and check out the shops. It’s a lot of time spent in the car but you get to see beautiful countryside and mountains on the way so it’s worth it
Excellent tour to a beautiful national park in the mountains of Korea

Lovely trip outside the capital city
FeliciaCucuta, Aug 2025
It was a lovely day: it didn't rain, the fog was magic, the landscape was stunning and I don't regret going on this lovely trip. I took the cable car, so it was hard to estimate how much time it would take me, but I made it right on time. The hike is quite challenging given how hot and humid it has been these days, but I recommend it nevertheless. Lucia the guide was very friendly and generous. I wish we had more time so that I could take my time and just admire the landscape. It would have been useful to have some guidance regarding the rituals/habits/gestures that are appropriate at the temples. Regardless, it was a lovely experience! 감사합니다!
Strongly recommend David and Seoraksan!

I think that the guide was good, but he could have provided more information to the group about the sites.
Just do it.

Definitely worth it. Byoung Ho Han was an excellent guide, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He walked us through parts of the Naksana Temple and the park at Seoraksan, supplying key information and some fun trivia. He spoke in English and repeated everything again in Chinese, so tri-lingual. We spent all of our time at Seoraksan up the cable car and exploring the mountain peak. The views are gorgeous and worth the hike. My kids loved it and my 84 year old mom also made the hike up. Despite being in the 90s, the higher elevation gave us cooler temperatures and a pleasant breeze. Naksana Temple was amazing as well, with great history being a temple of a Bodhisattva. The views off of the ocean are gorgeous as well with the impressive temple situated off the east shore. The drive is as follows: 2.5 hrs to Seoraksan, 20 mins to Naksana, then 2.5 hrs back. The bus picks up and drops off at 2-3 stops depending on the passengers, but it didn’t seem to add too much to the trip. The longer rides have a rest stop in between to grab snacks and use the bathroom. Additionally, you can leave belongings on the bus that you don’t want to hike around with. Meals are not included but there are ample opportunities to grab lunch, and we got back at 19:20, early enough to have dinner back in Seoul. There is a group chat where our guide Mr Han and the group can all communicate with each other, which is helpful. All in all, highly recommended!!
Great Tour

Lia our tour guide was great. The bus driver was extremely nice too. Well worth the trip to both locations.
Three pickup and drop...
Justin_F, Jun 2025
Three pickup and drop points were effective, and the guide, Jason, ensured good communication throughout the excursion. There were various hiking options available, catering to different levels of strenuousness. After the hike, there were several suitable lunch spots to rest and refuel. The total bus travel time from and to Seoul was about six hours.
Severely Dissatisfied and Disappointed - you better ask questions first.
Grant_L, Jun 2025
The highlight of my trip to Korea was going to be taking pictures in the Seoraksan mountains. We were supposed to take a cable car up to the top of the mountain. The tour guide waited until after we were on the bus and headed to Seoraksan before telling us that the cable car was down for safety inspections and WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THE CABLE CAR!! They knew this for weeks beforehand and didn’t tell anyone. My wife and I can’t hike up a mountain in the timeframe we have at the location- so the cable car was the only way we were getting up there. IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT BEFORE I GOT ON THE BUS I WOULD HAVE CANCELLED MY TOUR!!!! I want my time and money back.
A must do for nature enthusiasts.
Tori_T, May 2025
What a wonderful experience. The mountains are beautiful and the views breathtaking. The hike to the top a nice challenge. Loved it.
Lucia, beaches and temples.
Jennifer_B, May 2025
The day trip was well worth it. A long journey in the bus but the views are incredible. Lucia was the best tour guide. Very friendly, informative and accommodating.
